Ganz, ganz gross!!!!Born in Asheville, NC in 2001, raised in Athens, GA, and currently residing in Bloomington, IL, Backyard Tire Fire continues to grow and spread. The trio that "fits somewhere between Gov't Mule and Crazy Horse" (Flagpole Magazine, Athens, GA), is fronted by brothers Ed and Matt Anderson with Tim Kramp on drums. Founder of the popular IL rock & roll band Brother Jed (1995-2000), multi- instrumentalist/singer/songwriter Ed Anderson and the Tire Fire have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the Bottle Rockets, Bloodkin, Jimmy Herring & Project Z, Tishamingo, Dan Bern, Robert Walter's 20th Congress, Liquid Soul, and Leftover Salmon, to name a few. With the release of Live at the Georgia Theatre (2002) and the self-titled studio debut Backyard Tire Fire (2003) packaged with the DVD documentary Blood on the Strings, the band has established itself capable of playing with anyone. The third record and follow-up to the studio debut is Backyard Tire Fire's most ambitious effort to date. Titled Bar Room Semantics boasts 15 Anderson originals, most of which were composed on piano.
